Provincetown Arts Offers Oysters And Opera On August 9
Truro Summer Fundraiser Celebrates 31 Years Of Publishing

For the second year in a row, the Provincetown Arts Press, a non-profit arts publisher whose annual Provincetown Arts magazine celebrated its 31st anniversary this summer,

will hold a unique fundraising party on Tuesday, August 9 in Truro.

Featuring opera singers from the New York Opera Society, oysters from the Wellfleet Bay Oyster Company, and hors d’oeuvres from Angel Foods, the party will honor

author Roger Skillings, and the 2016 cover subjects — painter Tabitha Vevers and poet Marie Howe.

Tickets to the August 9 event, which will run from 6 to 8 pm, cost $125 and are tax deductible as allowed by law. They can be purchased online at www.provincetownarts.org, or by calling

508-487-3167. Ticket sales will be limited to 100 guests.

“We have just published what many believe to be our finest issue,” said Provincetown Arts publisher and founder Chris Busa. “The momentum we built last year, and the growing support

we’re seeing from the community makes us very excited about our future. This party is designed to showcase that excitement, and to help us close the gap between the revenue the

magazine generates and the costs we incur every year in creating and publishing it.”
