From Holland with Love: Recital with Dutch Artist in Residence Hans Pieter Herman & Lucy Arner

New York Opera Society presents Dutch Artist in Residence Hans Pieter Herman for a night of Dutch Classics accompanied by Lucy Arner at St. Paul’s Chapel of Columbia University. This project has received funding through a grant from the Netherland-America Foundation and from the support of generous individuals.
The program includes: Beethoven: An Die Hoffnung Op. 32 , Mit einem Gemalten Band Op. 83 , Adelaide Op. 46; Ropartz: Quatre poem avec pre et postlude, D’apres “l’ intermezzo” d’ Henri Heine; Five songs by Dutch Composers-Anna Cramer: Der Rautenkranz, Flieder, Alphons Diepenbrock: Clair de lune -Piet Ketting: from three Shakespearian sonnets / Music to hear, why hear’st thou music sadly?, Jurriaan Andriessen: from Cinco canziones Espagnoles: Romanza del Prisionero, Willem Andriessen: Lievelingskind Ravel: From Histoires Naturelles: Le cygne.
